Forty years ago, I was a psychic junkie. I had found reincarnation and also the mesmerizing power of psychics. Nevertheless, out of the blue, I was turned on to numerology. I was younger and starting my career and marriage. I truly loved tracking down my next psychic. One day, someone said numerologist to me. I was a blank. I’d little idea what that meant. But I intended to discover out.
I was working hard in Dallas. I was told this numerologist.com was in Fort Worth and her name was Marie Norris. Sounded innocent enough. How can I book a numerology session with her? It was a little bit complicated. It seems Miss Norris wasn’t a big fan of the contemporary use of the telephone. She did not actually have a secretary or perhaps answering machine. At any rate, I discovered out exactly where she lived and off I went.
Dallas isn’t as near Fort Worth as a lot of folks tell you. And in the early 1970s, it looked even more. But gas was 29 cents a gallon so who cared. We didn’t have the internet next so I had no fast method to investigate what numerology was. I was a small bit familiar with astrology, but now I know just how small.
Her house was not far too tricky to find perhaps even for a Dallas female. I walked as much as the door and also knocked planning on a nice older female to seem to graciously ask me in to a beautiful house. She was in fact older and also a tremendous lover of cats by the amount I first saw. And possibly even a lover of rats because they dominated as well.
The very first thing I noticed when entering was becoming stressed by the ghastly smell. A nice southern woman, I’d never ever say anything about it. But I began to realize I could not breathe well in its presence. She just asked me to take a seat somewhere between the stacks of papers and slimy canned cat food. I didn’t know how long this will take, but I was not sure I would remain very long time with the stench.
She asked me the name of mine and also my birthday. I gave it and off she went. She started hundreds of calculations starting at the upper part of the page to the bottom then returned once again to the pinnacle with the second row. I am not sure, however, she put a minimum of 6 7 rows of calculations and then began on the rear of the page. This went on for many pages.
She was intensely wrapped up in her calculations. And then she’d just completely stop and also slump down in what I will be able to only describe as a “nap.” Just as I started to get concerned, she would subsequently suddenly sit up and also keep on. This seemed as an eternity. So, I discreetly excused myself and went outside to eagerly grab some fresh air.
I’d no idea that she was creating a numerology reading on me or even what that meant. I was simply wanting a deck of cards. however, she was motivated to give me the expertise of her. And in fact she did. When she completed and asked me to come back in, she began telling me things I had not actually asked about. With complete power, she told me that I will receive an environmentally friendly car. I said, no, no. My automobile is red and rather new. She said, “The next time you come, you will have an eco-friendly car.”
Somehow, she alerted the interest in me. After she finished telling me where I will live, who I would be with and what very best things have been for me, I began questioning her. It has been some time, although I remember she said she learned numerology at Stanford University. I haven’t idea if that’s true, but I then looked around all the stacks of papers and found a map out on a dining room table.
I then learned she was under contract with several different oil companies to inform them where you can drill for oil. Suddenly she became a little less unusual to me. I became fans of her. The next time I arrived, I discovered I had an eco-friendly automobile. Whenever I came I discovered a little bit more and more her, but not around numerology. She wasn’t considering teaching jaoxth numerology, what a numerology chart is or how life path numerology is of help. She went about the calculations of her after which you can made her numerological predictions.
She informed me she’d constantly resided in Fort Worth. Her dad had been an officer in the Army stationed at Ft. Worth. Occasionally she would arrive at the home of her as well I did in a stunning Cadillac. She clarified that the driver had “rented” her for a gathering. She build an office for the party-goers to drop in and secure their numerological readings.
I started to realize that Marie Norris was an icon inside the Fort Worth community. She advised everybody, from the very very rich on the not so abundant. She had simply won them over doing what she did better than anyone else without tooting her own horn.
About 10 years later after a much way too long abstinence, I was editing a film with my buddy George Kline. His production company had made the film in Dallas. While we were chatting, he reminded me he was originally from Fort Worth. I became all bubbly and asked in case he knew Marie Norris. Just as bubbly, his eyes lighted up and he said, “Of course!” I said, hey we have to go see her.
He agreed and also called his assistant to organize a booking. His assistant called back and alerted us that Miss Norris was no more living. We were devastated. Who would we check out for numerological readings.
Marie Norris never trained me in numerology, never developed my numerology report or perhaps chart. although she gave me an appreciation of numerology which I continue to have 40 years later on. I have the internet now to learn more about numerology, numerology readings and numerological predictions. So, that is what I am going to do to honor the dear Miss Norris. It’s time.
